Eknath Sambhaji Shinde is currently serving as the Chief Minister of Maharashtra. He also holds the PWD portfolio and represents Kopri-Pachpakhadi in Thane, Maharashtra. Eknath Shinde served two terms as a corporator in the Thane Municipal Corporation. He served for three years on the numerous standing committees. He was born in Maharashtra on February 9, 1964. He took his higher secondary education at Mangala High School & Junior College in Thane. Apart from being the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Shinde is popular for his simplicity and accessibility.
